Bengaluru, November 7, 2025: Bengaluru police announced the arrest of a 30-year-old inter-state burglar, Amarjith Sharma, a native of Haryana, on Thursday evening. Sharma is suspected of involvement in two house break-in thefts in Wilson Garden and Ashok Nagar.
Police reports indicate Sharma allegedly broke into a house in Wilson Garden on September 20th, stealing valuables worth ₹12 lakh. Fingerprints collected from the scene were matched against a crime database, revealing Sharma’s prior involvement in similar offenses.
Following the identification, police traced Sharma to Majestic in November and detained him. Questioning revealed his involvement in both cases in Bengaluru.
“He was earlier arrested in Haryana in a similar case and obtained bail there,” a police officer stated.
The police have recovered the stolen valuables after discovering that the accused sold the items to vendors in Delhi and Haryana. The investigation is ongoing.
