Los Angeles, CA – What started as a close bond between “Selling Sunset” stars Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan has reportedly dissolved, stemming from concerns over Hernan’s boyfriend, Blake Davis. The real estate agents, who became fast friends after Hernan joined the show in 2021, appeared inseparable until recently.
The rift became public in May 2025 after Stause responded to a fan question on social media, alleging that Davis made offensive comments regarding pronouns and used a racial slur. Stause, a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and partner to non-binary musician G Flip, stated she could no longer condone such behavior.
Stause had previously voiced her concerns to Hernan about Davis, citing “red flags” and what she perceived as controlling tendencies. According to Stause, she felt Davis acted differently on and off camera, leading her to believe he was trying to isolate Hernan. She expressed that Davis had problematic views and would compare non-binary people to those with mental illness.
While Davis allegedly sent supportive messages to Stause, he also posted a poll on Instagram asking followers if he should sue Stause for defamation. Hernan and Davis are still reportedly together as of October 2025, despite a brief breakup after Davis drunkenly proposed.
Stause said she stands by her decision to end the friendship, citing irreconcilable differences in their morals.
