VIZIANAGARAM, November 3, 2025 – The Vizianagaram Two Town Police Station has unveiled “SAATHI,” a new initiative designed to enhance public awareness of police activities and improve citizen engagement. The program, meaning “companion,” aims to disseminate information about road safety measures, women’s protection initiatives, patrolling efforts in outlying areas, and opportunities for community participation in charitable endeavors.

Circle Inspector T. Srinivasa Rao announced that SAATHI will leverage a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, ARATAI, and WhatsApp, to reach a wider audience. The police will share informative short-form videos (reels) to maximize impact.

“People can follow the SAATHI portal to receive updates and easily share their grievances with police personnel,” Rao explained.

Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar commended Inspector Srinivasa Rao for his proactive approach in utilizing social media to showcase the department’s work and foster a stronger connection with the community. The initiative reflects a growing trend of law enforcement agencies embracing digital platforms to improve communication and public safety.
