LOS ANGELES – George Clooney, who is reprising his role as Danny Ocean in the highly anticipated “Ocean’s Fourteen,” due to start filming in 2026, has weighed in on the recent audacious Louvre heist. In the October 19th incident, thieves made off with over $100 million in jewelry, leaving authorities scrambling.

Speaking with Variety at the premiere of his new movie “Jay Kelly,” Clooney quipped about the real-life heist, saying, “I wonder if they’re going to catch these guys… I mean, they seem to have done a pretty good job of getting away with it.”

While acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Clooney couldn’t resist a touch of humor, adding, “It was cool, though – I mean, eh, cool… I mean, it’s terrible. But if you’re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys.”

Clooney, along with Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle, is set to return for “Ocean’s Fourteen,” with Clooney confirming the script is in great shape and scheduling is underway. He even joked about the possibility of the “Ocean’s” crew tackling the Louvre themselves.

“We should rob the Louvre… But somebody’s already done it, man,” Clooney said with a grin. “You know what we’re going to do? We’re going to rob Adam Sandler. He’s got some crown jewels, I know he does.”

“Jay Kelly,” starring Clooney and Sandler, will be in select theaters Nov. 14 and available on Netflix Dec. 5.
