Prince Andrew Stripped of Titles, Evicted from Royal Lodge Amid Epstein Scandal
London, October 31, 2025 – In a stunning move, Buckingham Palace announced yesterday, October 30, 2025, that Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, will be stripped of his titles and honors and evicted from his Royal Lodge residence. The decision comes amidst continued scrutiny over his past associations with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and accusations of sexual abuse from Virginia Giuffre, who died in April 2025, but before her memoir was released, and contributed to the scrutiny of Andrew’s links with Epstein.
According to a Palace statement, King Charles III has initiated the formal process to remove Andrew’s Style, Titles, and Honours. The former prince will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Furthermore, the Palace has served formal notice to surrender the lease on Royal Lodge, the residence he has occupied since 2003.
Andrew has consistently denied Guiffre’s allegations, even as recently as October 17th, in a joint statement with King Charles where he agreed to relinquish his titles and honours.
The move represents a dramatic fall from grace for the 65-year-old prince, once considered a favorite of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II. He will no longer be permitted to use the titles ‘Prince’, ‘the Duke of York’, ‘His Royal Highness’, ‘Earl of Inverness’ and ‘Baron Killyleagh’. He is expected to relocate to the royal estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, with his housing privately funded by King Charles. Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s former wife who also resided at Royal Lodge, will now be required to find her own housing.
The Palace also addressed the victims of abuse, stating, “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
The decision follows Ms. Ferguson being sacked by several charities last month after it was revealed that she had called Epstein “supreme friend” in a 2011 email.
