Los Angeles, CA – Catherine Corcoran, an actress known for her role in the original “Terrifier” film, has filed a lawsuit against director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone, alleging breach of contract, sexual harassment, and violations of laws concerning sexually explicit material.

The lawsuit, filed Sunday in California federal court, claims Corcoran was promised one percent of all profits generated by the “Terrifier” franchise in exchange for accepting a minimal daily rate for her work. Despite the franchise’s success, grossing approximately $100 million worldwide on a combined budget of less than $2.5 million, Corcoran states she has only received roughly $8,300.

Corcoran’s role involved an iconic and brutal scene where her character is hung upside down and bisected by Art the Clown. The lawsuit alleges Corcoran wasn’t informed she would be fully nude in the scene, violating SAG rules requiring written consent. It also details grueling working conditions, including shooting the upside-down scene in short increments over ten hours, leading to alleged cranial swelling and eardrum damage.

In addition to the breach of contract claim, the lawsuit accuses Leone and Falcone of fraud and sexual harassment, alleging they took advantage of Corcoran, and then “brushed her off” when she confronted them about the lack of payment.

Leone’s attorney, Larry Zerner, has denied the allegations, stating that Leone and Falcone will “vigorously defend this lawsuit.”

Corcoran’s lawyer, Devin McRae, argues that the franchise’s success is partially due to Corcoran’s willingness to accept back-end compensation.
