Gujarat Tourists Busted After Dine-and-Dash Attempt in Rajasthan
Mount Abu, Rajasthan – A group of tourists from Gujarat learned a hard lesson in honesty after attempting to skip out on a Rs 10,900 bill at a restaurant near Mount Abu. The five individuals, including one woman, enjoyed a substantial meal at the Happy Day Hotel in Siyava before allegedly trying to flee without paying.
According to reports, the group used the classic “restroom break” tactic, exiting the restaurant one by one and jumping into their car in an attempt to escape. However, the hotel owner and a waiter quickly realized what was happening and gave chase.
CCTV footage revealed the tourists’ vehicle heading towards Ambaji, the border between Rajasthan and Gujarat. The determined hotelier pursued the group through heavy traffic all the way to the border, where they were apprehended with the assistance of local police.
Following their arrest, the tourists reportedly contacted a friend to transfer funds online and settle the outstanding bill. The incident serves as a cautionary tale for would-be dine-and-dashers, proving that honesty is always the best policy.
