Zverev Secures Spot at ATP Finals in Turin, Joining Alcaraz, Sinner, and Djokovic
Alexander Zverev has officially qualified for the 2024 ATP Finals in Turin, marking his eighth appearance at the prestigious year-end tournament in the last nine years. The German star joins Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Novak Djokovic in the elite eight-man field, leaving four spots still up for grabs.
Zverev’s qualification was confirmed on Friday following his strong showing at the Vienna Open, where he reached the semifinals – his seventh of the year. The two-time ATP Finals champion (2018, 2021) has enjoyed a stellar season, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Australian Open (losing to Sinner) and winning his 24th ATP title at the ATP 500 event in Munich.
This marks Zverev’s sixth season with 50 or more wins, with a current record of 50-21. He has consistently ranked among the top players, holding either the No. 2 or No. 3 spot in the world rankings since last year’s US Open.
The remaining contenders for the ATP Finals are Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Alex de Minaur, and Lorenzo Musetti, who currently hold the No. 5 to No. 8 positions in the ATP Race to Turin.
