Fri Oct 24 12:40:00 UTC 2025: ## “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 4 Set to Ignite Paramount+ This October
Kingstown, USA – Get ready for a fiery return to Kingstown as “Mayor of Kingstown,” the acclaimed Paramount+ series starring Jeremy Renner, is set to premiere its fourth season on October 26th. Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, who also stars as Detective Ian Ferguson, the new season promises heightened stakes, deeper cuts, and intense emotional pressure.
Dillon described the upcoming episodes as an “incendiary season 4,” hinting at a dramatic escalation of the power struggles within the city.
Renner, who returns as Mike McLusky, will face new challenges this season with the arrival of a formidable new character, a tough prison warden played by Edie Falco. Renner teased the tension between their characters, stating Falco creates problems as he tries to protect his brother, a cop who goes to prison.
Following the explosive conclusion of its third season, which reportedly held the No. 1 spot on Paramount+ throughout its run, “Mayor of Kingstown” was quickly renewed for a fourth season in December 2024.
The official season 4 synopsis reveals that Mike’s control over Kingstown is threatened by new factions vying for power in the wake of the Russians’ departure. He must confront a burgeoning gang war and contend with Falco’s headstrong warden while battling his own past demons.
“A big driving force is to see the satisfaction with Jeremy Renner,” Dillon told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2024. “He’s gone out of his way, he made a giant come back and to see him be artistically satisfied… That’s what we want to do. We don’t want to leave any stone unturned. This show is very much rock ‘n’ roll.”
The ten-episode season will be released weekly on Sundays at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET, exclusively on Paramount+. All previous seasons of “Mayor of Kingstown” are also available to stream on the platform.
