Pawan Kalyan’s Blockbuster “They Call Him OG” Lands on Netflix Just Weeks After Theatrical Release
MUMBAI, India – October 16, 2025 – Just three weeks after storming theaters and breaking box office records, Pawan Kalyan’s high-octane action-crime drama “They Call Him OG” is heading to Netflix. The film, directed by Sujeeth, will be available for streaming on Netflix India starting October 23rd.
Netflix India made the announcement via Instagram, captivating fans with the caption: “Once upon a time in Mumbai, there lived a storm. And now, he’s back. Watch They Call Him OG, out 23 October on Netflix in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. #TheyCallHimOGOnNetflix”
“They Call Him OG” has already become a certified blockbuster. Earlier this month, the film’s production team confirmed it had grossed over ₹300 crore (approximately $36 million USD) worldwide within just 11 days of release. It has surpassed the collections of Anil Ravipudi’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam and become the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year. It dethroned HanuMan ( Rs 295 crore), collecting Rs 255.2 crore.
The film, which opened in theaters on September 25th to mixed reviews, features Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera (OG), a former samurai turned gangster who returns to the Mumbai underworld to protect his loved ones. Emraan Hashmi delivers a chilling performance as the ruthless antagonist, Omi Bhau. The movie also features Arjun Das and Priyanka Mohan in key roles. OG also stars Prakash Raj.
