**Los Angeles, CA** – Taylor Swift is giving Swifties the ultimate behind-the-scenes access to her record-breaking “Eras Tour” with a new six-part docuseries, “The End of an Era,” premiering on Disney+ starting December 12th. The series promises an intimate look at the inner workings of the tour, which spanned from March 2023 to December 2024 and captivated over 10 million fans worldwide, grossing over $2 billion in ticket sales.
The first two episodes will drop on December 12th, followed by two new episodes weekly for the subsequent two weeks.
But that’s not all! Also launching on December 12th is “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” a full concert film capturing Swift’s final tour stop at BC Place in Vancouver on December 8th, 2024. This special performance includes the complete set from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” performed live for the first time.
The announcements were made on “Good Morning America,” mirroring Swift’s initial tour announcement in November 2022. The “Eras Tour” has already solidified its place in history, spawning the record-breaking concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which became the highest-grossing concert film of all time. A special “Taylor’s Version” of the film is currently streaming on Disney+.
Swift herself expressed the significance of the tour, stating on Instagram, “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
Accepting the “Tour of the Century” award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards earlier this year, Swift described the tour as “absolutely the most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life.” She also credited the tour’s demanding schedule as inspiration for her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which has already broken streaming records since its release in October.
With both the docuseries and the final concert film arriving on Disney+ next month, Swifties can relive the magic of the “Eras Tour” and delve deeper into the creative process behind this iconic era in Taylor Swift’s career. Disney+ is owned by The Walt Disney Company.
