The release comes after Lacy’s defense attorney, Matthew Ory, presented footage to a local news station claiming Lacy could not have been responsible for the wreck. Lacy died of an apparent suicide in April, days before a grand jury was set to review the case.

The LSP video includes a timeline, crash report, witness interviews, and surveillance footage showing a Dodge Charger, allegedly driven by Lacy, speeding and crossing into oncoming traffic to pass other vehicles. LSP maintains that Lacy’s reckless driving triggered a chain of events that led to a head-on collision that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall.
