**”Fire Country” Season 3 Finale Fallout: Shawn Hatosy Joins Cast as New Battalion Chief**

**EDGEMOOD, CA -** The CBS hit drama “Fire Country” is set to return for its fourth season with a new face stepping into the role of Battalion Chief at Station 42, following the tragic death of Vince (Billy Burke) in the season 3 finale. Actor Shawn Hatosy (“The Pitt”) will be joining the cast as Brett Richards, a new battalion chief tasked with evaluating the future of Station 42 after its devastating loss.

Hatosy’s debut will be in the second episode of the season, airing on October 24th at 9/8c, shifting to its regular time slot after the premiere on October 17th at 8/7c. The episode, titled “Not a Stray,” will see Station 42 confronting a massive wildfire that will test their unity, leadership, and resilience.

According to CBS, Richards’ leadership style is described as “polarizing,” and executive producer Tony Phelan reveals Richards’ character is coming to evaluate dissolving Station 42 or reassigning everybody due to the loss of their chief.

Promotional photos released by CBS show the firefighters battling the blaze, Sharon (Diane Farr) observing Richards and the team, and hints of tension among Bode (Max Thieriot), Jake (Jordan Calloway) and others.
