Sun Oct 12 18:29:25 UTC 2025: ## Tamil Nadu CM to Launch Food Parks, Creches, and Tourism Projects in Virtual Ceremony

**CHENNAI, October 12, 2025** – Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is scheduled to virtually inaugurate a series of developmental projects across the state tomorrow, October 13th. The announcements, made late tonight, include two mega food parks in Villupuram and Theni districts, aiming to boost the state’s food processing sector.

The food park in Tindivanam, Villupuram, spanning 157 acres, represents an investment of ₹120 crore. The Theni food park, covering 123 acres, is being established with an investment of ₹70 crore.

Alongside the food parks, Mr. Stalin will also inaugurate 16 creches established by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) in various industrial parks, providing childcare facilities for working parents.

In a move towards social inclusivity, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate ‘Aran Illams,’ dedicated homes for transpersons, located in Shenoy Nagar (Chennai) and Anna Nagar (Madurai), built at a cost of ₹43 lakh.

The virtual event will also feature the inauguration of four tourism infrastructure projects in Jawadhu hills (Tiruvannamalai), Ponnaniyar dam (Karur), and Kollimalai (Namakkal), aiming to enhance tourism in these regions. Furthermore, new buildings for government law colleges in Madurai and Vellore will be unveiled.

In addition to these projects, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for projects in four temples under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and inaugurate 13 completed projects in seven temples across the state.

The comprehensive development initiative underscores the Tamil Nadu government’s commitment to economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructure development. The virtual inauguration ceremony will be held at the Secretariat in Chennai.
