**Owen Power Returns as Sabres Seek First Win in Boston Bruins Showdown**
**Boston, MA** – The Buffalo Sabres (0-1-0) will face off against the Boston Bruins (2-0-0) tonight at TD Garden in a highly anticipated divisional matchup. Following a 4-0 season-opening loss to the New York Rangers, the Sabres look to rebound offensively and capitalize on their strong defensive performance from Thursday.
A key boost for Buffalo comes with the return of defenseman Owen Power, who will make his season debut after recovering from an illness. Forward Tyson Kozak is also set to make his regular season debut.
Goalie Alex Lyon is expected to be a key player for the Sabres as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen remains sidelined with a lower-body injury. Lyon, making his Sabres debut in the opener, stopped 29 shots and expressed his disappointment about the late goals. “You never know which save is going to be really important, and that’s the mentality that I strive for,” Lyon said.
Coach Lindy Ruff praised Lyon’s performance: “I think he gave us a chance to win a hockey game. He was sharp.”
The Bruins, led by first-year head coach Marco Sturm, are off to a strong start, having defeated the Washington Capitals and Chicago Blackhawks in consecutive games. While Boston may have lost some star power, their top line of David Pastrnak, Elias Lindholm, and Morgan Geekie remains a potent threat. Goalie Jeremy Swayman, who had 35 saves on 36 shots in the opener, is projected to start for the Bruins.
Last season, the Sabres had a strong record against the Bruins, winning three of four games and outscoring them 17-10.
