## Lamar Jackson Out Again for Ravens’ Week 6 Clash Against Rams; Rush to Start
**Baltimore, MD -** The Baltimore Ravens will be without star quarterback Lamar Jackson for the second consecutive week as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury sustained in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The team officially ruled him out for their Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Jackson’s absence marks a significant blow for the 1-4 Ravens, who are currently tied for last place in the AFC North. This is the first time since 2023 Jackson has missed a game due to injury.
Cooper Rush, who started in Jackson’s place in the team’s crushing 44-10 defeat against the Houston Texans last week, will again lead the offense. Rush completed 14 of 20 passes for 179 yards but threw three interceptions in that game.
The Ravens face a tough challenge against the 3-2 Rams, who boast a potent offense and currently lead the league in passing yards. They are also tied for third in sacks with 25.
Despite the unfavorable situation, Rush retains the full support of his teammates. “‘Coop’ took command of the offense, I thought he did a great job today, and ultimately, we have to play better around him,” said Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum. Wide receiver Zay Flowers echoed this sentiment, stating, “We believe in ‘Coop,’ and we believe in what we have. We believe in our team, so I think we’ll be alright.”
While Jackson’s absence is a concern, the Ravens received a boost with the expected returns of key players from injury. Safety Kyle Hamilton (groin), left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf) are all set to play. Unfortunately, fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) has been ruled out, despite returning to practice.
With the Ravens heading into their bye week following the Rams game, Jackson will have additional time to recover before their October 26th matchup against the Chicago Bears. The Ravens desperately need to start winning games to avoid falling further behind in the AFC North race, where they trail the division-leading Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1).
