**Huntington Beach, CA** – A tragic collision claimed the lives of a motorcyclist and a pedestrian in Huntington Beach on Thursday evening. Police responded to the scene near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue around 8:27 p.m. after reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers discovered both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian unconscious in the roadway. Despite the efforts of paramedics, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have identified the motorcyclist as Martin Ramirez Jr., 45, of Los Angeles. The pedestrian has been identified as Nicholas Howell, a 46-year-old unhoused man from Huntington Beach.
