**Andhra Pradesh Launches Smart Street Vending Market, Empowering Women Entrepreneurs**

**Nellore, India – October 11, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today virtually inaugurated the Smart Street Vending Market at Mypadu Gate Center in Nellore, marking a significant step in the state’s “One Family-One Entrepreneur” policy. The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship among marginalized communities, specifically targeting women and differently-abled individuals.

The market, constructed at a cost of ₹7 crore, features 120 state-of-the-art shops housed within 30 modular containers. It provides a permanent business space for street vendors who have previously operated without such infrastructure.

Addressing the beneficiaries via video conference from Amaravati, Chief Minister Naidu congratulated the 120 women entrepreneurs in Nellore, highlighting their years of dedication to street trading. He emphasized the transparency of the allocation process, prioritizing women and differently-abled individuals.

The Smart Street offers amenities like rooftop seating and WiFi, enhancing the customer experience and business operations.

“The beneficiaries have the convenience of doing business through state-of-the-art shops now. I am happy to know about the facilities such as roof-top seating and WiFi facilities,” Mr. Naidu said.

The “One Family-One Entrepreneur” policy aims to create approximately one lakh young entrepreneurs from the MEPMA and DWCRA groups across Andhra Pradesh.

Chief Minister Naidu lauded the efforts of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana, MA&UD staff, and the MEPMA team and stressed the need for more such innovative ideas to encourage entrepreneurship in the State.

The initiative is expected to provide a significant boost to local economies and empower vulnerable communities through sustainable business opportunities.
