**Local Boy Priester Takes the Mound for Brewers in Potential Series-Clinching Game Against Cubs**
**CHICAGO** – The Milwaukee Brewers, leading the National League Division Series 2-0, are set to face the Chicago Cubs today at 4:08 p.m. ET at Wrigley Field. The Brewers will look to Quinn Priester to send his boyhood team to the offseason, in his first playoff assignment.
Priester (13-3, 3.32 ERA), a native of suburban Chicago and former Cubs fan, will make his playoff debut against the team he grew up cheering for. The 25-year-old right-hander has been a dominant force for the Brewers since being acquired from the Boston Red Sox earlier this season. The Brewers have won an astounding 19 of the last 20 games Priester has started, who has been a reliable presence for Milwaukee, stabilizing their rotation amidst early-season injuries.
The Cubs will counter with veteran right-hander Jameson Taillon (11-7, 3.68 ERA), making his second postseason start. Taillon, who previously pitched for the Pirates and Yankees, is coming off a strong performance in the Wild Card Series, pitching four shutout innings against the Padres.
Taillon is hoping to keep the Cubs’ season alive. While he has had success against the Brewers, including two wins in three starts this season, Milwaukee has also shown they can get to him.
All eyes will be on Wrigley Field as Priester, the local kid turned Brewer, aims to shut down the Cubs and send Milwaukee to the NL Championship Series.
