**LIV Golf Stars Headline Open de España as Offseason Tournaments Heat Up**

**Madrid, Spain – October 6, 2025** – As the LIV Golf season wraps up, several prominent players are taking advantage of the offseason to compete in tournaments around the globe. This week, six LIV Golf stars are set to tee off at the Open de España presented by Madrid, a historic event on the DP World Tour taking place October 9-12 at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

Headlining the field is Spanish favorite Jon Rahm, captain of Legion XIII. A three-time champion of the Open de España (2018, 2019, 2022), Rahm aims to match Ángel de la Torre’s record of five victories at his home tournament. Other LIV Golf players competing include fellow Spaniard and former Masters champion Sergio Garcia, who last played in the event in 2019, Legion XIII rising star Tom McKibbin, Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann, Fireballs GC’s David Puig, and Josele Ballester.

The Open de España, part of the DP World Tour’s 2026 Race to Dubai, also serves as the start of The Open Qualifying Series for 2026, offering a pathway to the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
