Wed Oct 08 18:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Disney Parks Announce Price Hikes, But Smart Planning Can Save You Money

**Orlando, FL & Anaheim, CA** – Planning a magical getaway to Walt Disney World or Disneyland? Be prepared to potentially shell out more cash. Both resorts have quietly implemented price increases for tickets and annual passes, effective immediately. However, savvy visitors can still enjoy the magic without breaking the bank by strategically choosing their travel dates.

While Disney is keeping the starting prices for one-day, one-park tickets flat through October 2026, guests visiting during non-peak dates will see an average increase of $5. Expect to pay even more during the busiest days of the 2026 holiday season, when peak prices will exceed the current $199 maximum.

“Disney Parks offer a full day of experiences each day, with ticket, hotel, and dining options designed to suit a wide range of needs and budgets for all who visit,” a Disney spokesperson stated. “Our commitment to creating magical experiences for everyone remains at the heart of what we do — and that will never change.”

For Disney World annual passholders, the news is similar. Prices for various passes have increased by $20 to $80, and renewal prices are also climbing. Potential passholders should carefully evaluate their planned visit frequency and associated travel costs to determine if the investment is worthwhile.

Disneyland is also adjusting its pricing structure, with increases of approximately 3% for five of its ticketing tiers. However, the starting price of $104 for one-day, one-park entry remains unchanged since 2019. Similar to Disney World, the value of Disneyland’s Magic Key annual passes hinges on visitation frequency and the specific pass chosen.

**How to Save:**

* **Visit during off-peak seasons:** Take advantage of lower prices by planning your trip for early November or early December at Disney World.
* **Check the online calendars:** Both Disney World and Disneyland provide ticketing calendars that clearly display the cheapest dates.
* **Look for deals:** Both resorts frequently offer promotions, such as discounted hotel stays and park hopper tickets. Disney World guests will be able save up $250 per night on 2026 vacation packages of four nights or longer. Additionally next year, kids staying at Walt Disney World hotels can get free Disney Dining Plans when adults in their party purchase plans for themselves. All resort hotel guests will get free water park entry on their check-in dates next summer.

Disney maintains that these price adjustments will support investments in enhanced guest experiences and industry-leading wages for cast members. Both parks have several exciting new attractions in development, including a new Avatar-inspired area at Disney California Adventure and a new Villains land at Magic Kingdom. Also, a new 4-D show called “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” will open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this Nov. 7. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is being reimagined as “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.” That’s set to open next summer.
The Anna, Elsa and Kristoff figures in EPCOT’s “Frozen Ever After” will be getting the same facial technology as in Hong Kong Disneyland. And a new audio-animatronic of Walt Disney will be coming to Magic Kingdom’s Carousel of Progress, along with other updates, for which timing has not been announced.

Despite the price increases, Disney remains a sought-after vacation destination, and with careful planning, families can still create magical memories without breaking the bank.
