**Chandigarh – October 8, 2025 -** Punjabi actor and singer Rajvir Jawanda has tragically passed away at the age of 35, succumbing to injuries sustained in a road accident. Jawanda died at 10:55 a.m. today at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he had been on life support since the September 27th accident.
The rising star was traveling to Shimla on his motorcycle in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district when the accident occurred. He suffered severe head and spine injuries, also experiencing a cardiac arrest prior to being transported to the hospital.
Jawanda hailed from Pona village in Ludhiana’s Jagraon and quickly gained prominence in the Punjabi music scene with his hit song “Kali Jawande Di.” He was also known for other popular tracks such as “Tu dis penda,” “Khush reha kar,” “Sardari,” “Surname,” “Afreen,” “Landlord,” “Down to earth,” and “Kangani.”
Beyond his musical talents, Jawanda also showcased his acting abilities in several Punjabi films, including “Subedar Joginder Singh” (2018) starring Gippy Grewal, “Jind Jaan” (2019), and “Mindo Taseeldarni” (2019).
The loss of Rajvir Jawanda will be deeply felt by the Punjabi entertainment industry and his many fans.
