**Darbhanga, [Date]** – The Darbhanga district administration has announced its readiness for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, with polling for all 10 constituencies in the district scheduled for the first phase on November 6th.
District Magistrate (DM) Kaushal Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jagunath Reddy Jalareddy jointly addressed the media on Monday at the Darbhanga Collectorate, outlining the preparations made to ensure a free and fair election.
“The Model Code of Conduct has come into effect in Darbhanga district with this press conference,” stated DM Kaushal Kumar. He emphasized that all government activities will now adhere to the Election Commission’s guidelines.
The district boasts a total of 28,85,352 voters, comprising 15,20,183 male, 14,65,126 female, and 43 third-gender voters. In addition, there are 2173 service voters, with 2049 men and 124 women. A total of 3329 polling booths within 1795 buildings have been established to accommodate the electorate.
To maintain transparency and security during the electoral process, the administration has formed various teams, including 30 Flying Squad Teams (FSTs), 35 Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs), and appointed 369 Sector Magistrates. Furthermore, 24 different cells are now active.
The nomination process will commence on October 10th and continue until October 17th, which is the last date for filing nominations. DM Kumar assured that basic amenities like electricity, water, toilets, and wheelchairs will be available at all polling stations.
SSP Jagunath Reddy Jalareddy assured the public that adequate security forces will be deployed to ensure peaceful elections. “The administration is closely monitoring the situation and will take strict action against any disruption,” he stated.
The administration has stated their commitment to holding a free, fair, and peaceful election in Darbhanga, urging all eligible voters to participate in the democratic process.
