**Rare Books LA Returns to Union Station with Guillermo Del Toro Frankenstein Celebration**
LOS ANGELES, CA – Rare Books LA is set to electrify Union Station this weekend, October 5-6, with a spine-chilling array of antique books, maps, prints, and art. This year’s fair boasts 50 exhibitors from around the globe, showcasing first editions and historical works.
Adding a spark of Hollywood magic, the annual event will celebrate Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming film, *Frankenstein*.
Before the weekend fair, book lovers can support the Los Angeles Public Library at a benefit on Friday, October 4th, featuring Del Toro himself. The filmmaker will share exclusive scenes from his adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic horror novel and discuss the film with antiquarian bookseller Ken Sanders. Tickets for the benefit are $250 and include a movie poster, bookmark, and a pair of tickets to the Rare Books LA fair.
All proceeds will benefit the Library Foundation of Los Angeles, aiding in their mission to support the Los Angeles Public Library, including the recovery of the Palisades Branch, which was devastated by fires in January.
For those unable to attend the fundraiser, a Frankenstein Fundraiser ticket is available, including two-day admission to the book fair, a movie poster, limited-edition bookmark, and entry to win tickets for the *Frankenstein* film premiere.
The Rare Books LA fair will also feature free weekend talks on Mary Shelley’s *Frankenstein* and other captivating subjects.
Rare Books LA takes place at Union Station (800 N. Alameda Street, Los Angeles) October 5-6. Attendees are encouraged to use public transit via Metrolink, Metro Rail, or Amtrak.
Tickets are available at RareBooksLA.com.
