**New Delhi, [Date – Today’s Date]** – The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe weather alert, warning of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across several districts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi NCR over the next three days.

The IMD has declared an Orange Alert for Uttar Pradesh districts including Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Deoria, and Ballia, where heavy rainfall is expected on October 5th. A Yellow Alert, indicating moderate rainfall, is in place for Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Gonda, Bahraich, Shravasti, Sonbhadra, Sultanpur, and Ambedkarnagar.

On October 6th, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur, Agra, Mainpuri, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, and Kushinagar are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall. The following day, October 7th, similar conditions are predicted for Bijnor, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Badaun, Bareilly, and Hapur. Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, and Saharanpur are expected to receive rain on October 8th.

Uttarakhand is also bracing for heavy rainfall, with an alert issued for Bageshwar, Chamoli, Almora, Nainital, and Rudraprayag.

The IMD forecasts a change in weather patterns in Delhi NCR from October 6th, bringing the possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. A Yellow Alert is currently in effect for the region.

Beyond North India, the IMD predicts torrential rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh over the next 72 hours. Kerala and Karnataka are particularly vulnerable to heavy downpours.

The IMD has also cautioned against rough sea conditions, forecasting strong winds and high waves in the Andaman Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea over the next 72 hours. Fishermen are strongly advised against venturing into the sea during this period.
