**Aragon, Spain -** Toprak Razgatlioglu secured a nail-biting victory in Race 1 of the 2025 Aragon WorldSBK, edging out pole-sitter Nicolo Bulega by a mere 0.030 seconds in a breathtaking final lap. The race, held this afternoon at MotorLand Aragon, was a spectacle of aggressive overtakes and strategic riding.
Bulega, who set a new lap record to claim pole position earlier in the day, led for much of the race, trading the lead fiercely with Razgatlioglu. Sam Lowes completed the podium, maintaining a consistent pace throughout.
The battle for third in the championship standings took a dramatic turn as Alvaro Bautista crashed out of P5 while pressuring Danilo Petrucci. Petrucci ultimately finished fourth, ahead of Alex Lowes and Andrea Iannone.
Axel Bassani put on a remarkable recovery ride, climbing from the back of the grid (due to a penalty for ignoring yellow flags in FP2) to finish eighth. The top ten was rounded out by Vierge and Michael van der Mark, who had hoped for a podium challenge.
The race saw a retirement for Tarran Mackenzie following a crash. Attention now turns to the remaining races, where the championship battle continues to intensify.
