Fri Sep 26 01:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Yankees Crush Orioles, Judge Nears 50 Homers in 6-1 Victory

**BALTIMORE** – The New York Yankees powered past the Baltimore Orioles with a decisive 6-1 win Saturday night, fueled by home runs from Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton and a stellar pitching performance from Carlos Rodón.

Judge’s solo shot in the third inning marked his 49th of the season, while Stanton blasted a three-run homer in the first to give the Yankees an early lead. Rodón was dominant on the mound, allowing just one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out eight and earning his 17th win of the season.

The victory puts the Yankees within two games of the AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays, who lost to the Kansas City Royals. With just seven games remaining in the season, the race for the division title is heating up. Toronto currently holds the tiebreaker.

Stanton’s early blast, his 450th career homer, set the tone for the game. He joins an elite group of sluggers with more home runs at this point in their careers, trailing only Mark McGwire, Babe Ruth, Alex Rodriguez, and Harmon Killebrew. He also leads all active players in career home runs.

The Orioles struggled, managing just one run off a Coby Mayo double in the seventh inning. The team also reached a dubious milestone, using their 70th player of the season – José Espada – tying the major league record previously set by the Miami Marlins just this season.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s series finale, rookie Cam Schlittler will take the mound for the Yankees, while Kyle Bradish, who is returning from Tommy John surgery, will start for the Orioles.
