**Ryder Cup 2025: Europe and USA Announce Foursomes Pairings as Competition Begins at Bethpage Black**
**FARMINGDALE, NY** – The 2025 Ryder Cup is set to begin Friday morning at Bethpage Black, with anticipation building as captains Luke Donald of Europe and Keegan Bradley of the United States have unveiled their opening foursomes pairings.
Donald is banking on the successful partnership of Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton to set the tone for Europe. “We want to start strong,” Donald told Golf Channel. “These guys have a lot of success together. Jon is 4-0 in foursomes and Tyrrell with him were 2-0 from [the 2023 Ryder Cup]. They know how to win.”
Bradley is countering with a pairing of Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas. “They bring a spark to our team,” said Bradley. “Bryson has been an incredible teammate in the locker room. We really want him to lead our team out with Justin in the first match.”

For those unfamiliar with the format, Foursomes, also known as “alternate shot,” sees each team of two golfers alternate hitting the same ball throughout the round.
Europe enters the competition as the defending champion, having secured a decisive 16 1/2 – 11 1/2 victory over the U.S. in the 2023 Ryder Cup held in Rome.
