**Emmy-Nominated Jimmi Simpson Joins “The Walking Dead: Dead City” Season 3 as Series Regular**

**Boston, MA – June 18, 2025** – Acclaimed actor Jimmi Simpson, known for his Emmy-nominated performance in “Westworld” and current role in Apple’s “Dark Matter,” has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming third season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” Deadline has exclusively learned.

Simpson will portray a character named Dillard, though details surrounding the role are currently being kept under wraps. He will star opposite returning leads Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) in the post-apocalyptic drama.

Production on Season 3 is currently underway in Boston. The series follows Maggie and Negan as they navigate a zombie-infested Manhattan, long cut off from the mainland. Season 2 saw the duo caught on opposing sides of a growing war for control of the city, realizing their only path to survival is more complicated and dangerous than they imagined.

Franchise veteran Seth Hoffman is taking over as showrunner for Season 3. Hoffman will also executive produce alongside Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, Brian Bockrath, Colin Walsh, Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Simpson’s extensive credits include “Black Mirror,” for which he received a BAFTA TV Award nomination, “Pachinko,” and voice work on Netflix’s “Haunted Hotel.” He is repped by Cognition Management and CAA.
