**HUBBALLI, Sept. 26, 2025** – SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET) in Dharwad is preparing to celebrate its 15th graduation day ceremony this Saturday, where a total of 582 undergraduate engineering students and 17 postgraduates will be awarded their degrees.

Principal Ramesh Chakrasali announced in a press conference today that the ceremony will commence at 10:00 a.m. and feature a convocation address by Girish Maraddi, Director of the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI). Jeevandar Kumar, Secretary of SDME Society, will preside over the event.

“This is a momentous occasion for our students as they embark on their professional journeys,” said Prof. Chakrasali.

Among the graduating class, K.N. Bindu from the Chemical Engineering Department will be awarded the prestigious gold medal named after Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance with a CGPA of 9.99.

In addition to awarding degrees, SDMCET will also honor 28 individuals who have recently earned doctoral degrees from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and other universities with certificates of appreciation. Endowment awards will be presented to meritorious students who have achieved top ranks in their respective departments, and the top three scorers from each department will receive prizes.

The college highlighted its strong industry partnerships, having signed 25 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various companies to facilitate education, training, research, internships, and employment opportunities for its students.
