**Binghamton Rumble Ponies Dominate Eastern League Awards**

**BINGHAMTON, N.Y.** – The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have swept the Eastern League awards, with RHP Jonah Tong named Pitcher of the Year, IF/OF Jett Williams crowned Top Prospect, and Reid Brignac earning Manager of the Year honors, Minor League Baseball announced Tuesday. The accolades accompany the announcement of the Double-A All-Star teams, which includes Rumble Ponies 1B Ryan Clifford, RHP Jack Wenninger, RHP Douglas Orellana, and RHP Joander Suarez.

Tong, the Mets’ No. 4 prospect, dominated the league with a Minor League-leading 179 strikeouts, a 1.43 ERA, and a .148 average against. He made his MLB debut for the Mets on August 29. Williams, the Mets’ No. 2 prospect, showcased his impressive skills with an .867 OPS, 29 doubles, and 32 stolen bases before his promotion to Triple-A.

Brignac, in his fourth year managing the Rumble Ponies, led the team to a franchise-record 90 wins and a return to the Eastern League Championship Series. 15 players who played for Brignac with Binghamton, made their Major League Debut.

Adding to the Ponies’ success, Clifford led the EL with 24 home runs, while Wenninger excelled with 12 wins and a league-best WHIP of 1.15. Orellana posted a stellar 1.64 ERA, and Suarez impressed with a 3.05 ERA and 84 strikeouts.

The Rumble Ponies are currently facing the Erie SeaWolves in Game 2 of the Eastern League Championship Series, down 1-0 in the best-of-three series. Game time is 6:35 p.m. at UPMC Park.
