**Shaun White Joins Guthrie and Gannon in NBC Booth for 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony**
**STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 23, 2025** – NBCUniversal today announced its broadcast team for the Opening Ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Award-winning journalist and TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie will team up with veteran NBC Sports commentator Terry Gannon to host the event, which will originate from Milan’s iconic San Siro Stadium. Joining Guthrie and Gannon in the booth for the highly anticipated Parade of Nations is three-time Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Shaun White.
White, a five-time Olympian, will provide his unique insights and perspective as the world’s greatest winter athletes, including Team USA, enter the stadium.
The Opening Ceremony, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, will celebrate the Games’ return to Western Europe for the first time in two decades and will involve all competition venues in an unprecedented way. Mike Tirico will contribute from northern California.
NBCUniversal’s live coverage begins at 12 p.m. ET, with primetime coverage kicking off at 8 p.m. ET on both NBC and Peacock.

The Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games will be held February 6-22, 2026, with NBC and Peacock serving as the primary broadcast platforms.
