**”The Mandalorian & Grogu” Trailer Drops, Galactic Adventure Coming to Theaters in 2026**
**HOLLYWOOD, CA -** Star Wars fans, prepare for hyperspace! Lucasfilm has released the first thrilling trailer for “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” a highly anticipated film directed by Jon Favreau, set to hit theaters May 22, 2026. The movie marks the return of Pedro Pascal as the iconic Mandalorian bounty hunter, Din Djarin, alongside his beloved young apprentice, Grogu (affectionately known as Baby Yoda).
The trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into the film’s plot, revealing that Mando and Grogu are working with the fledgling New Republic to bring order to a galaxy still plagued by scattered Imperial warlords. Din Djarin will have to protect Grogu from these reminents of the Empire in a galaxy far, far away. Along the way, they meet a colorful cast of new characters, including a fighter pilot played by Sigourney Weaver and Jabba the Hutt’s son, Rotta, portrayed by Jeremy Allen White. Jonny Coyne will appear as an imperial warlord. Fan-favorite characters, Babu Frik and Zeb Orrelios, will make cameo appearances.
The trailer showcases pulse-pounding action sequences, including battles against fearsome robots and monstrous sci-fi creatures, a Rancor-like beast in Rotta the Hutt’s arena, and the epic takedown of a lumbering AT-AT.
“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created,” said Favreau when the film was first announced. “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
“The Mandalorian & Grogu” promises to be a must-see cinematic experience for Star Wars enthusiasts, expanding upon the critically acclaimed Disney+ series and solidifying the duo’s place in the Star Wars legacy. Jon Favreau will produce with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm CCO.
