**Mizzou to Face South Carolina in Primetime Showdown for Mayor’s Cup**

**Columbia, MO** – In a rare evening affair at Faurot Field, the No. 23/22 Missouri Tigers (3-0, 0-0 SEC) are set to clash with RV/No. 24 South Carolina (2-1, 0-1) this Saturday at 6 p.m. CDT. The highly anticipated SEC matchup marks only the fourth time in five seasons that Mizzou has hosted a conference game under the lights.

The Tigers, riding high on an undefeated start after victories against Central Arkansas, Kansas, and Louisiana, will open their conference play against a South Carolina team looking to rebound from a shocking loss to Vanderbilt last week. The Gamecocks, who began the season ranked in the top 15, previously secured wins against Virginia Tech and South Carolina State.

Adding to the excitement, the annual Mayor’s Cup trophy is on the line. South Carolina currently holds the cup after defeating the Tigers last season.

A sellout crowd is expected in Columbia, creating a charged atmosphere for what many consider one of the most important home games of the year. Fans are encouraged to arrive early due to ongoing construction both at Memorial Stadium and along Interstate 70.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN, with Dave Pasch providing play-by-play commentary alongside analyst Dusty Dvoracek. Taylor McGregor will report from the sidelines. Radio coverage will be available on the Tiger Radio Network, featuring Mike Kelly, Howard Richards, and Chris Gervino.

Weather conditions are expected to be warm, with a high of 84 degrees and partly cloudy skies. While there’s a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms, the temperature is projected to be around 77 degrees at kickoff, with potential rain showers later in the evening.

Limited tickets are available on the secondary market, with prices starting around $52 as of Friday morning.
