**Beirut, Lebanon -** The Lebanese media landscape is in mourning following the passing of beloved الإعلامية (media personality) Yumna Chri, who died this morning, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 50. The news sent shockwaves throughout the industry.
Chri reportedly succumbed to lung cancer, which she had been battling for the past two months while residing in Canada, according to sources.

Before her media career, Chri also dabbled in acting, appearing in several dramas. Throughout her career, she hosted a diverse range of popular entertainment and variety programs, including “طل القمر (Tall al-Qamar),” “الليل المفتوح (The Open Night),” and “عالم الصباح (The World of Morning).” She also served as a presenter for major artistic events and festivals, such as هلا فبراير (Hala February) and the Dubai Shopping Festival.
