**FBI Director Announces Evidence Links Suspect to Charlie Kirk Shooting**

**OREM, UT –** In a televised interview Monday, FBI Director Kash Patel revealed key evidence connecting Tyler Robinson to the fatal shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last week.

“Our investigators have uncovered compelling physical evidence definitively linking Mr. Robinson to this horrific crime,” Patel stated on “Fox & Friends.”

The evidence includes DNA matching Robinson found on a towel wrapped around the suspected murder weapon, a bolt-action rifle, and on a screwdriver discovered on the rooftop from which the shot was believed to have been fired. Patel further revealed that Robinson wrote a note prior to the shooting, indicating his intention to “take out” Kirk. While the note was destroyed, authorities were able to reconstruct its contents. Text messages also suggest Robinson planned to kill Kirk.

The shooting, which took place during Kirk’s address to students, triggered a massive manhunt. Robinson surrendered to authorities approximately 30 hours later, turning himself in at a sheriff’s office near his home.

The motive for the shooting remains under intense scrutiny. Governor Spencer Cox of Utah and Director Patel have both stated that acquaintances of Robinson reported he adhered to left-wing ideologies. Cox described Robinson as a previously “normal” individual who became “radicalized” after dropping out of college. He also confirmed that Robinson’s romantic partner, a transitioning woman, is cooperating with the investigation and expressed shock at the incident.

Friends have described Robinson as intelligent and introverted, with interests in video games and current events. He was a registered voter, unaffiliated with any political party, and had no prior criminal record. Messages sent by Robinson after the shooting, obtained by *The New York Times*, show him joking with friends about resembling the suspect sought by the FBI.

During the interview, Director Patel addressed criticism regarding a previous social media post concerning the apprehension of an individual unrelated to the shooting, stating, “Could I have worded it a little better, in the heat of the moment? Sure. But do I regret putting it out? Absolutely not. I was telling the world what the F.B.I. was doing.” He assured the public that the FBI will conduct a non-partisan investigation.
