**’Deliver Me From Nowhere’ Biopic Aims to Reveal the Man Behind the Boss, Bruce Springsteen**

**HOLLYWOOD, CA** – October 16, 2024 – Director Scott Cooper’s upcoming film, *Deliver Me From Nowhere*, starring Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen, promises a raw and intimate portrayal of the iconic musician during a pivotal period in his career. Set for release on October 24th, the film focuses on Springsteen’s struggles with depression, generational trauma, and artistic identity during the creation of his starkly personal album, *Nebraska*.

Unlike traditional musical biopics that focus on the spectacle of stadium concerts and legendary performances, *Deliver Me From Nowhere* delves into the quiet moments of introspection and creative angst that fueled Springsteen’s work. Cooper emphasizes that the film is not about the myth of “The Boss,” but about Bruce Springsteen the man, alone in a rented house, grappling with his inner demons.

Based on Warren Zanes’ book of the same name, the film has earned the full support of Springsteen and his longtime manager, Jon Landau (played by Jeremy Strong), who granted the production unprecedented access to personal artifacts and insights. Springsteen even gifted White one of his guitars.

“The truth about yourself is rarely pretty, and I want you to tell the truth about my struggles,” Springsteen told Cooper.

The film concentrates on the period following the success of *The River*, as Springsteen begins writing and recording the minimalist tracks of *Nebraska* while simultaneously shaping the stadium anthems of *Born in the U.S.A.* Cooper chose to focus on *Nebraska* because he viewed it as a cinematic record.

Cooper, whose father introduced him to Springsteen’s music, views the film as a deeply personal tribute to both Springsteen’s artistry and his own relationship with his father, who passed away just before production began.

“I just tried to listen closely and stay out of the way,” said Cooper, hoping to create an authentic and emotionally honest portrayal of an artist wrestling with himself in real-time.
