Sun Sep 14 21:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Eagles to Face Chiefs Without Key Offensive Weapons

**Kansas City, MO** – The Philadelphia Eagles will be without tight end Dallas Goedert for their highly anticipated Week 2 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. Goedert, who led the Eagles with seven receptions in their Week 1 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, has been ruled out due to a knee injury that kept him sidelined from practice all week.

Head Coach Nick Sirianni expressed confidence in the team’s depth at the tight end position, with Grant Calcaterra slated to start in Goedert’s absence. “Grant’s done a really good job of stepping in and playing when Dallas hasn’t been able to play these last couple years,” Sirianni stated, also highlighting the potential of Kylen Granson and the experienced practice squad players.

Adding to the Eagles’ offensive woes, backup running back Will Shipley will also miss the game due to an oblique injury sustained against the Cowboys. To bolster the running back corps, the Eagles acquired Tank Bigsby in a trade with the Jaguars. Offensive Coordinator Kevin Patullo praised Bigsby’s dynamic playing style and ability to contribute in multiple ways, while Special Teams Coordinator Michael Clay emphasized his vision and potential as a kickoff returner.

Rookie offensive tackle Cameron Williams will also be sidelined with a shoulder injury. In positive news, Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson is expected to play despite a back injury, having fully participated in Friday’s practice. Outside linebacker Jalyx Hunt is also cleared to play after recovering from a hip injury.

The Chiefs will also be missing key players, including rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who dislocated his shoulder in Week 1. Wide receiver Jalen Royals remains out with a knee injury.
