Lincoln, NE – True freshman defensive lineman Kade Pietrzak is quickly making a name for himself at the University of Nebraska, drawing praise from coaches and teammates alike for his impressive play and relentless effort.
Pietrzak, a 6-5, 265-pound native of West Fargo, North Dakota, wasn’t even on campus this spring, but his impact has been immediate. He burst onto the scene, highlighted by a recent safety against Akron, one of two he has collected in as many college games.
Defensive coordinator John Butler noted that Pietrzak embodies the characteristics of successful defensive linemen, possessing a unique drive and physicality. “He’s got great DNA when it comes to being a football player,” Butler said. “He’s got that look in his eye.”
