**Royal Caribbean Cancels Labadee Visits for Another Six Months Amid Haiti Security Concerns**

MIAMI – Royal Caribbean has extended its suspension of visits to Labadee, its private destination on Haiti’s northern coast, through April 2026 due to ongoing security concerns in the country. The cruise line cited the need to prioritize the safety of passengers and crew in light of a U.S. State Department Level 4 travel advisory for Haiti and warnings from the U.S. Coast Guard.

The decision impacts dozens of cruises scheduled for the fall and winter of 2025 and early 2026. Passengers are being notified of itinerary changes, with Labadee typically being replaced with alternate ports such as Grand Turk, Nassau, Falmouth, Puerto Plata, George Town, or Cozumel. However, some sailings will replace the port day with a day at sea.

Royal Caribbean had previously suspended visits to Labadee earlier in 2024, resuming service later that year and early 2025 before pausing again as gang violence extended beyond Port-au-Prince.

“We have been monitoring the evolving situation in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and out of an abundance of caution, we’re cancelling our visits to Labadee through April 2026,” Royal Caribbean said in a statement to travel agents.

The cruise line has not indicated when it expects to resume visits to Labadee and will continue to monitor the situation. Further cancellations are possible if security concerns persist.
