**Elmont, NY** – The 2025 Video Music Awards, hosted by LL Cool J at the UBS Arena, saw Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande emerge as the night’s biggest winners. Grande’s “Brighter Days Ahead” took home Video of the Year, contributing to her total of three awards.

Lady Gaga, despite canceling a Miami show due to vocal strain, claimed Artist of the Year and a total of four wins. She briefly accepted her award before rushing to a scheduled performance at Madison Square Garden, which the VMAs broadcast later in the show.

Sabrina Carpenter also had a successful night, securing three Moon Person trophies, including Album of the Year for “Short n’ Sweet.” Rosé won Song of the Year for “APT.,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars. KATSEYE won MTV Push performance of the year for “Touch.” Mars and Gaga also won best collaboration for “Die With a Smile.”

The ceremony also honored Mariah Carey with the Video Vanguard Award, Busta Rhymes with the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Ricky Martin with the inaugural Latin Icon Award. All three performed during the show.

This year’s VMAs introduced two new categories: Best Pop Artist and Best Country Video. The awards aired live on CBS for the first time, alongside MTV and Paramount+. The show was produced by former MTV head Van Toffler and Gunpowder & Sky, along with Den of Thieves.
