**Hollywood, CA** – Guitar legend Slash, best known as the iconic lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, is taking his love for all things spooky to a new level: becoming a character at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights.
A skeletal version of Slash, brought to life by an actor, will be available for photo ops and meet-and-greets at the popular Halloween event. The partnership is a dream come true for the rocker, a lifelong theme park enthusiast with a passion for roller coasters and the macabre.
Slash’s connection with Halloween Horror Nights began in 2014, when he started composing music for its haunted houses. He even pitched the idea of having a towering, intimidating “stilt walker” version of himself to Universal, leading to the creation of his Horror Nights persona.
“I went to them and said, ‘Hey, can we have one of those stilt walkers?’” says Slash. “That would be really cool. So they came up with one and he looks pretty menacing.”
Beyond the spooky fun, Slash is a genuine theme park aficionado, with a particular fondness for Disney and Universal. He fondly remembers visiting Disneyland as a child and appreciates the immersive experiences these parks offer.
This year, Slash has composed the score for a revamped “Scarecrow” maze, incorporating his newfound skills on the banjo and dobro for a unique Americana sound. He even covered the folk song “O Death.” The theme will be during the Depression-era time.
Slash’s influence extends to a themed bar at Halloween Horror Nights, featuring a mini top hat-shaped dessert. He expressed his love for this recognition.
Despite his busy schedule, including recording an album with his band the Conspirators and touring with Guns N’ Roses in 2026, Slash remains dedicated to Halloween Horror Nights and continues to immerse himself in the world of theme parks. Halloween Horror Nights runs on select evenings through November 2nd at Universal Studios Hollywood.
