**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, September 6, 2025** – The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) has announced record sales of its dairy products, including milk, curd, and ghee, during the recently concluded Onam celebrations.
On Uthradam, the first day of Onam, Milma outlets sold an impressive 38,03,388 litres of milk and 3,97,672 kilograms of curd, exceeding last year’s sales of 37,00,209 litres of milk and 3,91,923 kilograms of curd. Over the five days leading up to Uthradam, total milk sales reached 1,19,58,751 litres, a significant increase from the 1,16,77,314 litres sold during the same period last year. Curd sales also saw a boost, rising to 14,58,278 kg compared to 13,76,860 kg last year.
Ghee, a staple ingredient in many Onam dishes, experienced a remarkable 30% growth in sales, reaching 863.92 tonnes during August, compared to 663.74 tonnes in the previous year.
“These record sales reaffirm the immense consumer confidence in Milma’s staple products, cementing the brand’s enduring legacy in Kerala’s dairy sector,” stated Milma chairman K.S. Mani.
