**NEW DELHI – September 4, 2025** – The Indian government is taking steps to promote inclusivity by developing transgender-inclusive education materials for schools. The Union Social Justice Ministry, in collaboration with the Education Ministry, is spearheading the initiative, announced Social Justice Secretary Amit Yadav at a national conference organized by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today.
