## Giuliani Recovers After Car Crash, Trump Announces Medal of Freedom

**Manchester, NH** – Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident near Manchester, New Hampshire on August 30th. According to Giuliani, the impact of the rear-end collision left him temporarily paralyzed.

Giuliani, 81, and his driver, Theodore Goodman, were struck by a Honda HR-V while returning to their accommodations after assisting a woman involved in a reported domestic violence incident. Giuliani’s head of security, Michael Ragusa, stated that the pair had stopped to aid a woman waving for help on the side of the road. Goodman reported the incident to law enforcement. Minutes after they left the scene, their vehicle was rear-ended almost directly across from the location of the initial domestic violence report.

“We got hit in the back, I would say, the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my whole life,” Giuliani recounted during a taping of “The Rudy Giuliani Show.” He was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebra, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg. All parties involved were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

New Hampshire State Police are investigating the cause of the crash, including whether distraction or curiosity related to the initial scene may have been a factor. Authorities have confirmed that the driver of the Honda HR-V is not believed to be connected to the domestic violence incident.

The news of Giuliani’s accident comes as President Donald Trump announced that he will award the former mayor with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Trump broke the news on Truth Social, calling Giuliani “the greatest Mayor in the history of New York City (and) an equally great American Patriot.” Giuliani said the call from Trump was “the best medicine”. Details regarding the time and place of the presentation have not yet been released.

Giuliani was released from the hospital on September 1st and says he is healing as his doctor predicted.
