**Chuck E. Cheese Employee Arrested Mid-Performance on Credit Card Theft Charges**
**Tallahassee, FL -** A Chuck E. Cheese employee, dressed in full Chuck E. Cheese costume, was dramatically arrested by Tallahassee police officers on July 23rd for allegedly stealing and using a customer’s credit card. Bodycam footage released Friday shows officers interrupting the costumed employee, identified as 41-year-old Jermel Jones, while he was entertaining children at the popular family restaurant.
The video depicts officers approaching Jones near the arcade games and struggling briefly to handcuff him, while instructing him to “stop resisting” and warning him not to “cause a scene.” Parents and children present were visibly confused and concerned as the arrest unfolded. One woman attempted to shield her child from the scene, while a young voice was heard asking, “What are you doing?”
An officer was seen reassuring concerned parents that they were “just doing their job,” while another dismissed a comparison to Mickey Mouse being arrested. Jones was then escorted out of the restaurant, placed in a patrol car, and assisted in removing his costume.
Jones is facing charges related to credit card theft. Further details regarding the case have not yet been released.
