**KOCHI, July 1, 2025** – The Edathala police have launched an investigation into the death of a 54-year-old Chottanikkara resident, Biju N.T., following a surgery at Rajagiri Hospital near Aluva. The family alleges that his death was due to medical negligence.

Biju N.T. was admitted to the hospital on June 25th with back pain and weakness in his right leg and underwent a keyhole surgery on June 27th. According to the family, he experienced severe pain after the surgery and developed complications but did not receive timely care. He died on June 30th.
