**Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty in Hosanagara, Karnataka**

Shivamogga, June 30, 2025 – Hosanagara police have arrested a man identified as Ramchandra for allegedly slashing the udder of a cow in Melina Sampalli village, Hosanagara taluk. The incident reportedly occurred on June 28th when the cow was feeding on yield in a farm.

According to police sources, Ramchandra allegedly attacked the cow after it entered the farm. The cow’s owner, Naveen, filed a formal complaint with the Hosanagara police on June 29th.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960. Ramchandra was subsequently arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
