**Jazz Acquire Jusuf Nurkic in Trade with Hornets**
**SALT LAKE CITY, UT** – The Utah Jazz have acquired center Jusuf Nurkic from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Collin Sexton and a 2031 second-round draft pick, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The move comes less than five months after Nurkic was traded to the Hornets from the Phoenix Suns.
Sexton had been rumored to be on the trade block in Salt Lake City. The Jazz, who recently drafted Walter Clayton Jr., already have two young talented point guards Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George.
Nurkic previously played 25 games for the Suns last season before falling out of favor with coach Mike Budenholzer. The Suns acquired him in a 3 team trade with the Portland Trail Blazers and Milwaukee Bucks for Damian Lillard.
The Jazz may consider further trades or a buyout for Nurkic before July 6, when the new league year begins. Nurkic is entering the final year of his contract, which will pay him $19.375 million. A buyout would make him a free agent.
