**Investigation Launched into the Sudden Death of Actress Shefali Jariwala**
**Mumbai, India -** Amboli Police are actively investigating the unexpected death of actress Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic role in the “Kaanta Laga” music video and appearances in “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” and reality TV shows like “Bigg Boss.” Jariwala was pronounced dead on arrival at Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital late Thursday night. While initial reports suggested a cardiac arrest, authorities are exploring all potential causes of death.
Two teams from the Amboli Police Station are dedicated to the investigation. A post-mortem examination, which was video-recorded, was conducted at Cooper Hospital. A team of five doctors is currently preparing the post-mortem report, with a preliminary report expected to be released soon.
Initially, authorities considered the possibility of food poisoning. The investigation has broadened to include a deeper look into Jariwala’s medical history, including her contacts with doctors over the past eight years, prescribed medications, and any instances of self-medication.
“We are investigating all aspects of Shefali’s medical history to understand the circumstances surrounding her death,” a source close to the investigation told reporters.
To date, police have collected seven CCTV footage samples and recorded the statements of 14 individuals, including family members, domestic staff, and those who regularly interacted with Jariwala. The statement of the pharmacist from where the family procured medicines has also been recorded.
Preliminary medical examinations reportedly suggest that Jariwala’s death may have been related to low blood pressure, cardiac arrest, and a heavy gastric condition. Further details are pending the release of the post-mortem report.
Jariwala was cremated at the Oshiwara Crematorium on Saturday evening. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, was visibly distraught during the final rites. Family members, close friends, and numerous television personalities, including Aarti Singh, Mahira Sharma, Rashami Desai, Sunidhi Chauhan, Paras Chhabra, Hindustani Bhau, Shehnaaz Gill and Vikas Gupta, attended the cremation to pay their respects.
Shefali Jariwala’s career took off after the massive success of “Kaanta Laga” in 2002. She continued to be a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, appearing in films and various reality TV shows.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information relevant to the case to contact the Amboli Police Station.
